Supply Chain Director/Operations Management
The Supply Chain Director will be responsible for overseeing all steps of the supply chain process including planning, procurement, manufacturing, inventory control, distribution and logistics. The position is located at Joule's demonstration plant in Hobbs, New Mexico. Training for the position will be conducted at the company's pilot plant in Leander, Texas.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the entire planning process, including procurement, manufacturing, inventory control, distribution and logistics
• Ensure each step of the process is being performed effectively so as to rule out lost opportunities and costly delays
• Examine the supply chain process and take steps for improvement and cost reduction
• Maintain good relationships with vendors and ensure that the flow of materials remains unhampered
• Coordinate inventory requirements and procurement details with vendors and customers
• Develop inventory budgets and maintain the stock ratio of the facility
• Evaluate the cost movement of products and assess the purchase and invoice details
• Replenish stock in the warehouse and fill order forms
• Forecast and estimate the potential stock requirements based on inventory reports
• Supervise the inventory cycle counting
• Track the transportation and distribution of inventory
• Maintain and oversee the records of all stocks and compile evaluation reports
• Conduct monthly audit of inventory
Qualifications
The role requires a minimum of ten years experience in a supply chain related field with at least five years in a supervisory role. Proven experience in development, implementation and execution of supply chain information and performance measurement programs, plus demonstrated ability to lead teams and build consensus with key stakeholders, are key requirements for this position. Other desirable attributes include:
• Demonstrated strengths in project management
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, written and presentation skills, including the ability to present and articulate strategic business direction in forums that include executive senior leadership
• A Master's degree and APICS certification are highly desired, as well as SAP or similar ERP
