Financial Analyst
The Financial Analyst will be primarily responsible for the development and maintenance of Joule’s financial models, the financial valuation of key parts of Joule’s businesses and supporting the company’s management in making investment decisions and developing business plans and strategies.
Responsibilities
• Build Excel based financial models with enough details to allow costing analysis of Joule’s operating processes, and annual and long term financial planning analysis
• Develop a detailed understanding of Joule’s business to allow the analyst to proactively structure analytical tools
• Imbed into the financial models advanced financial analysis and scenarios capabilities to support investment and planning decisions
• Structure an integration between a Joule corporate model and departmental costing models that allows consolidation of other departments budgeting and costing analysis
• Ensure proper formatting of inputs and outputs to match Joule’s accounting system main accounts structure
• Perform market analysis to compare Joule’s operations with other peers and competitors
• Prepare periodical analysis in Excel and/or PowerPoint for presentation to Joule’s management and board of directors
• Support project development and project financing activities through detailed financial analysis of commercial structures
• Work as a key team contributor and collaborator with colleagues in other functional groups
Qualifications
Candidates should have a Bachelors degree related to Joule’s business or in Finance with two or more years of relevant experience in a similar capacity. MBA is a plus. Candidates will have demonstrated strong applied experience in using Excel to develop analytical tools and in applying advanced financial valuation metrics to companies/shares/business valuation. Experience with corporate M&A activities is a plus. The successful candidate will have a strong motivation to carry out several parallel mandates in a time sensitive environment and must be able to operate under limited supervision to work effectively as part of a multi functional team.
